Welcome! I'm glad you're here.

I give thanks to the Anishinaabe land I live and practice on. With an educational background in social work and gender studies, I aim to provide doula and consulting services in the Ottawa region that are inclusive, comprehensive and transformative.

About me

As a consultant of over eight years, I bring a wealth of knowledge to organizations seeking to improve their equity, diversity and inclusion policies and programs. The Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action, the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Act for Ontarians with Disabilities are guiding legislative principles of my work.

Previous clients of mine include the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada, Heritage Canada, the Social Planning Council of Ottawa and the Hospital for Sick Children.

I have received doula training from DONA International and am currently pursuing certification with Birth Arts International. My birth work is informed by my educational background in social work in addition to womanist, trauma-informed and evidence-based best principles and practice. I aim to empower birthing people and their loved ones throughout their journey with pregnancy, delivery and postpartum care. Serving QTBIPOC and 2SLGBTQ+ families is a sacred duty of mine that I am blessed and honoured to share with my clients.

The symbol in the middle of my logo is from my culture. In Ghana, “NEA OPE SE OBEDI HENE” or “he who wants to be king must serve first” represents transformative service and leadership.
